This could actually be quite beneficial for Meta, Microsoft, and Magic Leap. Joseph Toma : [From the presentation], although the hardware will inevitably evolve, we are years away from consumers and businesses adopting these tools. Apple also presented the Vision Pro as a productivity tool, rather than simply entertainment hardware.

As I’m thinking back to it now, this was actually on HTC VIVE — first gen, which was only maybe 3, 4 years ago now — and I was so impressed with the first generation of hardware that I was like, “well, this is ready for prime time.” And that’s just in North America. Alan: Absolutely.
