This weekend I’ve also organized together with SIDI a big VR workshop on new technologies (XR, AI, neural links, etc…). Developers are coming up with creative uses of Oculus Quest hands tracking. Oculus Quest hands tracking is being a success among developers. It is amazing to be seen.

What I’ve not enjoyed is that SideQuest has removed The Unity Cube from its listing, stating that there were too many cubes there. While Oculus is getting all the glory for the Quest, its competitors are not sleeping. Huawei has upgraded its sleek VR glasses and now they support 6DOF movement and 6DOF controllers that are very similar to the Oculus Touch. Notwithstanding all this hate, the Oculus Quest 2 is selling very well. Other relevant news.

Last year, it was still called Oculus Gaming Showcase, and it featured important updates on games like Pistol Whip, The Climb 2, I Expect You To Die 2, and Resident Evil 4 VR. Ruth Bram, Executive Producer at Oculus Studios, will be the host of the show. Pico Neo 3 , Vive Focus 3 , Oculus Quest 2 ) only offer Wi-Fi connectivity.
