Then hopefully we’ll see other groups joining us. But recently both Google and Oculus have gotten behind it, and as a result we’re seeing accelerated adoption of web VR. Money is coming from Oculus, Google, and others, but not at the scale some people expect to get. Google recently bought Eyefluence for its eye tracking.

Most people know Xu due to his dispute with American virtual reality company Magic Leap. In June 2019, Magic Leap accused Xu of stealing AR glasses technology when he was an engineer working at the firm. The company was later acquired by Google in 2010.
