It released with the launch of the HTC Vive in early 2016 and Facebook’s Oculus Touch controllers for Rift late in the year.

But this time, Valve has made it without the collaboration of HTC. The specs list is very similar to the one of the HTC Vive Pro. I tried it in Beijing at HTC offices and I was amazed by this possibility. The Valve Index is the first PC VR headset completely produced by Valve, from the design to the manufacturing stage.

The device will be available for $3500 in United States, Japan, China, Germany, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Australia, and New Zealand, the same countries where it was previously available for pre-order.
