Boz has added that he doesn’t want to overhype these devices (to avoid the same error made by Magic Leap), and so he has confirmed that they are not AR glasses, but just smartglasses. Oculus Quest 2. The biggest announcement of the event has been for sure the Oculus Quest 2, that Facebook has not only revealed but also launched. Oculus Quest 2 is a great piece of technology. Then Oculus will move the whole experience to 90Hz. The magic of the Oculus Quest 2 (Image by Facebook).

You can imagine the potential of such a tool when combined with a mixed reality headset (you could change some furniture in your house, or re-create a virtual environment that has the same shape as your room). The trailer is hilarious and the game is pretty original, so I loved it. Alex Kipman leaves after the misconduct allegations.

I just know about Neal Stephenson because he was “Chief Futurist Wizard” at Magic Leap and that the company with him as a Wizard has gone close to bankruptcy (probably he made the wrong spell as a wizard). The fluffverse. My ideal metaverse is the one where I sleep all the time (Image by Diver-X).

It ruins not only the reputation of the company, but of the reputation of what virtual reality is doing today. There are plenty of products like the Oculus Go, which is just a few hundred dollars, that give you more of a robust kit than something like a Google Cardboard, where you can dip your toe in.
