Weight is tougher to simulate in VR. You’d smell the grass.

Microsoft confirms (again) it wants to build consumer HoloLens. Alex Kipman, the mind behind Microsoft HoloLens, has confirmed again in an interview that Microsoft will one day build a consumer version of HoloLens. You can now touch a virtual cat with full haptics. Years of research for… cats. It makes perfect sense.

HP and Microsoft have a long track in offering enterprise hardware, so this headset may battle HTC on his own land (B2B). It is astonishing, especially if you consider that it is not a real fluid simulation, but just a very complicated shader. As a developer, I’m amazed. Unity launches MARS tools.
