We were all waiting for an Apple announcement, hoping that it could bring back some enthusiasm into the field, and it seems that the Vision Pro is having some beneficial effects , indeed. Viveport is improving a lot, and now HTC is also launching the Vive XR Suite , which will be distributed thanks to the support of a strong network of partners like HP, NVIDIA, Baidu (the Chinese Google), and Accenture. Sony will give PS4 camera adapters for PS5 for free. Sony has answered this question in the weekend.

And Sony will give a “Sneak peek” of PSVR 2 games at its upcoming State Of Play event on June 2nd at 3 PM PT. It seems that Sony is hoping for a Q4 release in time for the holidays, but analyst Ming-Chi Kuo thinks that delays will bring the release to Q1 2023. Apple may unveil RealityOS at WWDC.

If Microsoft commits to building this platform and doesn’t abandon it (a la Google), it can become an incredible tool for us developers. They could build together something that could seriously compete with Facebook and Apple: let’s keep an eye on them. Google stops selling Cardboard viewers.
