Top news of the week (Image by Meta) Quest 3 launch is approaching Meta is following a strategy for the launch of the Quest 3 that is very different from the one that it used for the previous headsets. I just think that Meta is trying a new strategy to keep the hype high until September.

We are all curious to see how this strategy will pay off. According to Upload VR, for instance, “in UK, it’s now available at GAME , Amazon UK , ShopTo , Currys , Argos and more. It has waited a lot before performing this launch but has not waited enough to be able to deliver a super polished product with clear use cases.

So Meta has to rely on external existing services, e.g. Netflix or Amazon Prime, but currently their VR applications are not that great (when they exist). So an Apple TV user can easily put on the Reality headset and watch a football match there, but no one is currently an Oculus TV user unless it has a Meta headset.
