T he use of the Exynos chips makes me think even more that this is an old device : Samsung has recently announced that it is going to build its headset with Google and Qualcomm, so it is impossible that the to-be-released device doesn’t have a Qualcomm chip. The road toward widespread AR glasses is still very long and complicated.

The reality turned out to be pretty different, with Meta forecasting its first AR glasses in 2027 , and they will be for sure a product for enthusiasts, so mainstream adoption will still need various years to happen. But no one could envision it: it was hard to imagine TikTok influencers eating Tide Pods in 1960. And our field, too.

Twelve months ago I put a prediction on LinkedIn saying that I thought -- based on some of the things that we're seeing coming out of Unity -- that Unity was going to go public within the next 12 months.
