But since Microsoft owns one of those studios (and using it costs around $100K/day if I remember well!), It is not an app, but a tool to build apps.

In my opinion, Magic Leap 2 is a superior device to HoloLens 2 (see my hands-on here ), so I think that with these prices, it can have good success in the enterprise market, starting to gain shares with regard to Microsoft. Per se, this is not a surprising news (all companies are working on next iterations of their devices), but what is surprising is the timing that the report suggests: a new Oculus Quest should have been announced at the end of 2020, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it will come in 2021. Unreal Engine 4.25 adds many XR features.
