More info There is a huge sphere of LEDs in Las Vegas This is not strictly XR news, but I guess can be relevant to the people in our community. In Las Vegas, it has been built a huge sphere all covered with LED displays that can create majestic effects on the skyline.

With the introduction of Google Cardboard and the Daydream VR platform, Oculus and HTC discrete VR headsets and GearVR headsets for even smartphones like the Samsung’s Galaxy S7, the first tentative steps towards virtual reality gaming are being taken. The casino game with the most to gain from VR technology would be poker.

So, if you want to build a Las Vegas Sports Book, or a room that has dozens of TVs, you will be able to do so. They will be better locked to the real world, and the devices will know where they are without using much of the camera or other battery-hungry technology. Exciting times for the technology industry are coming.

If we exclude the major tech companies (Facebook, Valve, etc…) and the meteor Magic Leap, this is the first VR company to reach this status, and this is another sign of the health of the virtual reality ecosystem. Oculus Quest 2 may detect people in your play space. Donate and save yourselves, you fools!

It’s amazing, the technology we have that can unlock that. Even five years ago we didn’t have enough technology to do it.
