Body tracking leaked from Quest SDK documentation. A leaked image from the Oculus team shows that the company is working to implement body tracking inside the Oculus Unity SDK. The fact that this was not the best commercial made by Meta is visible also on Youtube, where only 2% of the viewers have put a like on the video.

Samsung has also teased to be interested in releasing a new AR/VR standalone device. The only exception to this rule seems to be the Samsung Odyssey+, that offers features somewhat comparable to the ones of the Vive Pro, but costs only $500. Samsung will do the same. You just turn them on and they work. Mobile headsets.

This doesn't much matter for watching traditional video content, as most of it is in widescreen aspect ratio anyways. That’s reason #1 that Vision Pro can't be practically used outdoors, and why the videos you see of people doing this are influencers chasing clout, not honestly depicting a practical use case.

The HoloLens, for example, is Microsoft’s AR platform while the HP and Acer headsets are their VR platform (although they refer to them as “Immersive” headsets in documentation, but whatever, they’re clearly VR headsets.) When I accessed the “Movies & TV” app it even auto-loaded a 360 video section.

We are at the same level of Vive Focus or Vive Pro… probably the display is the same made by Samsung. This is the same chip of the Samsung S8 and it is not the latest available for VR: Qualcomm has already released the 845 VR reference design. Looking at the video, you may notice that the two games looks both very very good.
