Stanford and Samsung create a super-high-resolution display. A joint work of the University of Stanford together with Samsung Research has let a team working on optics and another one working on solar panels collaborate to create a new kind of OLED displays featuring 10,000 pixels per inch.

It is more refined than the original Vive, but it has not that Apple-like approach that has the Rift. The device appears better manufactured than the original Vive and I also like its blue color: black was too sad. Regarding the comfort, it is amazing. Extended use vs some minutes usage.

In my opinion , the true error is with the Vive 1 , that will get a price that is higher than the one of all the competitors… and that will cost as much as a Samsung Odyssey, notwithstanding its far lower features. people walking around), so I don't have an apples-to-apples comparison against Santa Cruz.

This would be a very good move to come to the market before Apple , that will likely announce its AR glasses from Q4 2019 on; The announcement of a new generation of VR devices that will also be capable of providing AR , a bit like the VRVANA headset (whose company has been acquired by Apple as well). Magic Leap is suing nReal.

Microsoft and Samsung may be partnering for an AR device. According to Korean media, Samsung Electronics is working with Microsoft on a new augmented/mixed reality project “involving HoloLens”. Samsung is one of the most famous suppliers of components for electronic devices (e.g. Samsung Odyssey+).

Most people know Xu due to his dispute with American virtual reality company Magic Leap. In June 2019, Magic Leap accused Xu of stealing AR glasses technology when he was an engineer working at the firm. Before his entrepreneurial work, Mahajan was an engineer at Epic Games on the Unreal Engine and Gears of War.
