According to a report from The Information , ByteDance subsidiary Pico Interactive is pulling the release of its next consumer-focused standalone headset in effort to no longer compete directly with Meta Quest, instead positioning its next device to compete with Apple’s $3,500 Vision Pro mixed reality headset.

Industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, a respected figure in all things Apple supply chain leaks, says the Cupertino tech giant is likely preparing to launch its long-rumored mixed reality headset early next year. Two weeks ago, I had a fantastic trip to Taiwan together with my Chinese assistant Miss S. I had the pleasure of participating to the “VR Visionaries” event in Kaohsiung and then I headed to Taipei to meet some XR companies (like HTC ) and people. Are you ready for immersing into Taiwan? I loved both Kaohsiung and Taipei.
