The event hosts people from very important companies like NVIDIA, VR Chat, The Khronos Group, Alibaba (there is Jack Ma!), But having seen Google taking a similar route, releasing a faceplate to add 6DOF controller tracking for Mirage Solo , I think that both companies realized that the hardware solution was a better solution at the moment.

All the people that were working on AR/VR inside Facebook now have a new group they belong to: “Facebook Reality Labs”. Apple acquires startup SPACES. What is sure is that Apple continues to slowly build its AR and VR technology, so that one day it could come out with something amazing.
