Recently I had a big issue with my VR controllers in SteamVR (both with Oculus and Vive) and so I’m writing this post to try to help you in solving it. And when I put the headset on, I could see the grey intro environment, with all the controllers moving regularly. , but sometimes it is still tricky and problematic. WTF SteamVR.

It is relevant that for the first time, a Varjo headset is adding integrated audio and integrated controllers. Varjo XR-4 is on sale for enterprises, but the company has also opened up a waiting list for interested consumers (especially simulator fans, I guess). XR-4's displays have over 20% more pixels than even Apple Vision Pro , and the passthrough cameras output more than twice as many pixels per second. Varjo XR-4 with included controllers from Razer. Varjo XR-4 also has inside-out positional tracking and comes with tracked controllers in the box, a first for the company.

As for the controllers, they look like a mix of the Oculus Touch and the controllers of the Vive Focus Plus, with some important ergonomic adjustments. The only drawback is the controllers’ tracking. So companies that need very precise controllers tracking probably should use another headset, like the Cosmos Elite , Varjo, XTAL.

I’m sure that after April, 20th, the Meta Quest ecosystem will appear even richer than it is now , creating a wider gap with other companies that may think about competing with the Quest, that is Pico, HTC, and even Apple.
