This week, we look at new VR mounts and locomotion inputs, the ongoing Apple/Epic saga, and hands-on with Huawei’s VR glasses. The lower-cost locomotion option, Cybershoes , is now on Amazon for $349. The Apple Worldwide Developer’s Conference begins June 7th. Apple always buries an easter egg or two in the invitation.

Apple glasses are coming in 2021–2022 and they are incredibly sleek. Apple glasses are coming. The glasses are expected to run a new operating system, rOS (or reality OS), and Apple is exploring touch panels, voice activation, and head gestures as a means of control. Apple is really good at selling stuff.

I have to say that this “leak” comes in a very timely fashion , by chance exactly at the moment when Facebook was building the hype for Oculus Quest 2 Pro , convincing so some people to wait for Valve’s moves before buying the new Oculus headset. Apple Maps are going AR. Facebook hires the first Oculus Ambassadors.

We had, for DuPont Corian — which is a client of ours — we had an experience that showed bathroom vanities that you’re able to look at and place inside of your own space, similar to what IKEA is doing, and Amazon. Mobile virtual reality on a headset like an Oculus Go, which is $200. I’d say get in now and learn.

Furthermore, some of the workshops will be held remotely in livestreaming at predefined times. Apple ARKit 3.5 It is no mystery that Apple is currently the best mobile augmented reality company, and the latest update to ARKit confirms this. I really can’t wait to see the Apple AR glasses…. adds support for LiDAR features.

And then of course, Apple came along and created USDZ. And then there’s Amazon, they have Sumerian. You have Apple, with ARKit. Alan: Well, I think we’re we’re already in that position where we’ve got Apple, Google, Facebook, Amazon, Walmart. So you have all these different 3D file formats.
