Escape Code is a 360-degree short film directed and animated by Josh Hassin and the San Diego, CA based studio, Look Mister that seems inspired by many of these ideas. The entire short film, embedded below, was created in Unity and is driven by a synthwave soundtrack scored by Emmy award winning composer RAD LAZER (aka Rafter Roberts).

Also noteworthy: Final Cut Pro X will be able to support 360 video editing, Unity and Unreal now have VR support for Macs, and SteamVR is coming to Mac… and although there was a sweet on-stage mixed reality demo using Star Wars assets and an HTC Vive, there was no mention of support for Oculus.

I can now see videos about VR also in meme websites like 9GAG, and this shows that VR has started entering mainstream consideration, but it is still far away from being the main topic of discussion. And in fact, some weeks ago Sony has made everyone understand that it has delayed the launch of the PSVR 2 because the market is not there yet.
