It is not clear what this device will be, but a previous rumor talked about a collaboration between Meta and LG for the release of the Meta Quest Pro 2, which the same rumor set for 2025. I guess we will have to wait until 2025 to discover what LG has in the works. In any case, the launch of this device is expected for Q3 2024.

PSVR 2 Hero view of PSVR 2 (Image by Sony Interactive Entertainment) I had big hopes for PSVR 2. I’m pretty sure that Sony is waiting the next few months to make some moves, there’s still the Black Friday and the Christmas Holiday that have to happen, but at the moment I do not see this device as disruptive to our ecosystem.

The Meta Quest 4 Pro should be released in 2025 and be produced in partnership with LG Electronics. If this strategy is confirmed, by 2025 Meta would have a cheap $200 device (Quest 3 Lite?), This would mean that Meta would start doing like Pico and having the “Pro” models with the same numbers as the standard models.
