The reason for such a decision would be that was impossible to create a glass that could be thin enough and that could contain all the desired technology (e.g. Probably not this year, but next one or in 2021… but it will happen. Oculus is working on 2nd gen VR. We don’t know what Oculus will present, but we have some hints.
