French startup Lynx announced some months ago a quite interesting headset featuring pass-through augmented reality , hands tracking, eye tracking, and an innovative lens design. Amazon Lumberyard becomes opensource. Amazon has launched some years ago its 3D engine called Lumberyard, derived from Crytek’s Cryengine.

During the Chinese counterpart of the event, the V2EC, Vive has also announced two other interesting pieces of news: The 7Invensun Droolon F2, an eye-tracking add-on for the Vive Pro 2 and Vive Focus 3, coming soon for $299. According to the same report, the company will start taking developers onboard in 2021, for the release of a first mixed reality device in 2022 and an AR glass in 2023. The super-interesting eye tracking device Droolon F1 by 7Invensun is now in preorder on Taobao , with Amazon listing coming soon.

Before leaving you to the best news of the week, I would like to highlight two notable things about my work: My crazy trolling game “The Unity Cube” has been featured in a video by Upload VR! It will be released to selected partners in Q4 2021 and to the general public in Q1 2022. Chip shortages are going to continue throughout 2021.
