Much like Oculus, FOVE began as a successful Kickstarter which raised $480,000 , nearly twice its goal, back in mid-2015. FOVE hopes to be the first VR headset on the market with eye-tracking, and we expect other major headsets like the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and PlayStation VR to add eye-tracking in future product iterations.

Oculus Connect 5 is taking place in a few days in San Jose, California on September 26-27th at the McEnery Convention Center. Last year, Oculus Go, a $199 standalone VR headset, has blown people’s minds. It is rumored that the Oculus team will spend a considerable amount of time discussing Project Santa Cruz at the event in California.

When testing at 100 Mbps he found the resultant image sharp but too choppy for play.
