Magic Leap started to understand that these walled gardens are not their future.

In fact, with Saudi Arabia still pouring $500 million into companies like Magic Leap as Meta continues to invest in optical AR glasses, the question of whether VR-style headsets with passthrough on them are going to be used outdoors in any significant way is not a forgone conclusion.

Of course it also has telepresence, so you could be virtually present in a place like Egypt – not in real time, but in space and simulation. Magic Leap a lot of great people running off doing different things. That is its most powerful use.
