A new FCC listing appears for an HTC Vive headset. And in fact, a new request to FCC for a new device has arrived from HTC. FCC certifications are requested before releasing an electronic device in the US (to certify that it is safe to be used), so this is a clear sign that HTC is going to release a new headset soon.

If we pair it to the fact that this device is connected to a PS5, which is a quite powerful machine, we see that the whole system is truly the next-generation VR that PlayStation users (and not only them) were waiting for. Magic Leap 2 has inside-out tracked controllers. HTC released a trailer about his vision for the metaverse.

I ended up at Valve Software running their hardware department, putting the team together that created the HTC Vive. Jeri, at Valve they did have that sort of choice point, and they chose to do Steam VR and get behind the HTC Vive. GB: Magic Leap is a big presence in the AR discussion. Ellsworth: VR is amazing.

I remember in, oh man, it must be 2015/16, Coachella livestreamed 360 content to VR headsets and I believe it was pushing to the -- it was! -- it was the Samsung GearyVR at the time.
