Report: Qualcomm to Unveil New Snapdragon Chip Specifically Designed For Standalone Headsets

Citing people familiar with the matter, Bloomberg maintains that Qualcomm will unveil the new SoC, reportedly dubbed the Snapdragon XR1, at the Augmented World Expo (AWE) in Santa Clara, California, which takes place May 30th – June 1st. Standalone VR headsets incorporating the 835 include HTC Vive Focus and Lenovo Mirage Solo.
