A report by The Verge maintains Google is also now gearing up to produce an AR headset that could directly compete with similar offerings from the likes of Apple and Meta. Now Kress is back at Mountain View working on Google’s next AR headset.

Avegant , makers of Glyph personal media HMD, are turning their attention to the AR space with what they say is a newly developed light field display for augmented reality which can display multiple objects at different focal planes simultaneously. A number of other companies are also working on displays which solve this issue.

Here is an update on my quest to stay on top of all things “holo:” HoloLamp and RealView “Live Holography.” This is a solid and well-known technology called structured-light 3D scanning , and can be seen in action at the beginning of this HoloLamp video clip. And speculate I will.
