Microsoft signs a $22B deal with the US Army. We all know that Microsoft is building AR glasses for the US Army : a modified version of HoloLens 2 called IVAS, that is ruggedized, with a wider field of view (80° x 40°), and feature additional sensors (for instance to provide thermal vision). So I feel like there’s so much of a mirroring of what’s happening in these virtual worlds that the training applications are just incredible, in terms of whether it’s a surgical simulation or Walmart’s using it to train for different employees. Both the Hololens 2 and the Magic Leap are shipping with eye tracking.
