Multiple reports seem to confirm that Oculus is actually starting the production of a new Oculus Quest headset, with an expected release date in 2021. Google’s investment for a 7.7% of units more produced annually.

We can so expect a price of $1000+ for the device, which at this point is clearly aimed at professionals, the same target of people of the upcoming Apple headset. Google acquires Raxium. The news about Google being willing to acquire Raxium had been leaked a few weeks ago, but now it has become official. News worth a mention.

It lacks all Oculus Exclusive titles like Beat Saber and Population One, but its store is becoming anyway interesting. In case there is another platform involved, e.g. Android, 30% will go to Google, and 25% of the remaining money (i.e. And Pico doesn’t plan to curate it like Meta, so its ecosystem should be much more open.
