HTC has a new CEO: Yves Maitre. HTC, one of the most important companies in the VR landscape, has now a new boss: Yves Maitre. CEOs means a lot for a company: think about how Microsoft has changed going from Ballmer to Nadella. A game launch in 2019 is far different than a game launch in 2016.

I mean, it sort of makes more sense to me that, as long as the prices for the headsets are lingering up pretty high — like the Cosmos from HTC, the brand new one, it’ll be an $800 purchase.
