Both Apple and Google already have very popular stores , they have full suits of tools (think about the Google Docs suite) and entertainment channels (think about Apple TV), and they have enormous expertise in building hardware and operating systems. All the tools are integrating AI in one way or another. Photoshop is doing the same.

A new set of tools for developers to build all of this. When I worked at Microsoft I got in trouble with the lawyers over patents so they made me sleep with a lawyer (true story, that was my punishment). I also am invested in Apple competitors, Qualcomm, Snap, Microsoft, Amazon, and about 50 other companies in a diverse portfolio.

For me this is not a fortunate sentence: this is what Alex Kipman said about the HoloLens, a few weeks before the whole Microsoft Mixed Reality division was disbanded and he was fired from the company. In 2027, it should launch its first AR glasses for consumers, codenamed Artemis. It can even be used for commercial projects.
