In Dexmo gloves, the thumb tracking alone takes 3DoF, and this is needed to make the grasping and all the other virtual hands’ interaction more realistic. Theoretically they could work also via Bluetooth, but Bluetooth communication would add extra latency to the haptics system. Dexmo haptic feedback.
