Chinese manufacturers BOE and SeeYA may provide cheaper displays in higher quantities than Sony is doing now, while Samsung may be supplying the DRAM components. It seems that most of the rumors are aligning on the launch of an Apple Vision Pro 2 in 2026–2027. I believe there will be many use cases for this.

During the keynote, CEO Sundar Pichai and his collaborators announced interesting features both for AR and VR. The sentence with which they have started the tease is “Big things are in motion here at Ultraleap”, which makes me think about something big that moves… may it be a new device to perform body tracking?

In addition to the original Pixel and Pixel XL , the VR headset works with the Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+ , Note 8 , Huawei Mate 9 , ZTE Axon 7 , LG V30 , Motorola Moto Z , Z2 and Asus ZenFone AR. Its basic functions are very similar to Google Cardboard’s. Sony PlayStation VR ($399.99). Oculus Go ($199).

Apart from this, we had a few important announcements, like for instance: GTA San Andreas coming to Quest 2 Project Cambria : a hybrid AR/VR headset arriving next year. We’re still in the early days and it is not easy to be successful, but always more companies are making millions with VR content, and this is a great sign for the future.
