I guess the reasons for discontinuation are that the current bad economic conditions are forcing the tech giants to cut all the non-essential projects, and for sure Kinect is not the hardware bringing the most revenues to Microsoft. It’s a pity that the teams working on this topic will have difficulties in finding their needed hardware.
