According to the news outlet DigiTimes, Apple will use Taiwan-based Pegatron as its sole assembly manufacturer for it, and mass production of the device is set to begin “at the end of the first quarter of 2023”. The console can also be inserted in a special case (a much improved version of Google Daydream View) to become a VR headset.

The only company not much affected by it is HTC, that manufacturers its headsets in Taiwan and not in Mainland China. Blogger Tom Ffiske, that writes on Virtual Perceptions, has decided to write a very good book about AR and VR technologies and it is becoming pretty popular on Amazon. Facebook acquires Sanzaru Games.

Google unveils Starline communication solution. At Google I/O, Google has announced Project Starline, an interesting project it has worked on for five years. I find Starlight an AMAZING project on the research side , and I think that all these technologies Google has developed for it may be re-used in other XR projects.
