I spend hours out front every week cataloging what goes past (I have the new over-the-ears headphones from Apple and usually use them outside while walking around talking to dozens of people all over the world building the future –they absolutely rock, by the way). So, could Apple “beat” Tesla? Can Apple match this?

Apple VR headset may feature a 3000PPI microOLED display. This week we had a new rumor about the XR headset Apple is working on. According to Korean publication The Elec, Apple has requested a sample of a display component for OLED displays that can arrive up to 3000PPI. Apple Event was not about AR, like, at all.

If I had to bet, I would say that the possibilities are two: Smartglasses to see the notifications of your phone A hybrid VR/passthrough AR headset, similar to Project Cambria or the rumored Apple headset. With the rumors intensifying, and with Apple always closer to entering the market, I am expecting an announcement for this year.
