As I said a few months ago , we are in the middle of a paradigm change: the cycle that started with the Quest is arriving at an end, and a new cycle driven by new technologies (mixed reality headsets) and new players (Apple, Google) is starting. Then of course Sony didn’t match this prediction, and the day after the analysts were shouting that PSVR had been a disappointing failure… where actually they should have said that they sucked at market analysis and they should have gone hoeing the soil. Meta is bad, Apple is our savior! It is such a good company.

He complained about having to obey platforms and their taxes (clearly hinting at Apple), saying that he had a different vision. This has even been underlined by Apple itself which called out Meta’s hypocrisy after the announcement of the creators’ fee on Horizon. The next versions of the glasses are expected for 2026 and 2028.
