There was (and still is) quite a good hype for these headsets, exactly as there was hype for what was Oculus Santa Cruz, the codename of the Oculus Quest. PSVR 2 Hero view of PSVR 2 (Image by Sony Interactive Entertainment) I had big hopes for PSVR 2. Bu t the outcome for these headsets is a bit different than expected.

Only the second edition in 2026 will be actually released to the market. I’m honestly not that convinced by this feature , having seen similar features for PCVR headsets (Oculus Rift Home, SteamVR Home) never gaining ground, but maybe with Quest will be different.
