In a 2013 Time interview , he briefly — and modestly — spoke of The Sword of Damocles, noting, “The name virtual reality might be applied, but it didn’t come along until ten years later.” There were gloves designed to track hand movements to interact with virtual objects and a full body “DataSuit” for further movement tracking.
