RealWear has strengthened a partnership with a video enhancement software firm to create new video solutions for frontline workers.
Founded in 2007, Sweden-based Vidhance specialises in software that improves video quality in devices, including smartphones, AR wearables and small sensors. According to its website, Huawei, Sharp, ByteDance, Qualcomm, Rokid, and Motorola are among its customers.
RealWear and Vidhance already work together, but this new partnership focuses on new frontline worker products.

Vidhance was formally known as IMINT Image Intelligence AB and last year showcased its Remote Assistance and Premium Video Stabilisation features.
Users can remove shaky video footage in real-time with Vidhance Premium Video Stabilisation and stabilise frames and horizon levels when using remote assistance video for assisted reality, augmented reality and other immersive formats.
Camera footage from head-mounted devices, body cameras, handheld devices, and others can stabilise and correct lens distortions in real time.
The software uses the camera’s motion sensor data to calculate the process frame by frame. It provides smooth and stable imaging for devices. Around 850 million smartphones use its software, Vidhance said last year.

Earlier this year, RealWear started shipping its Navigator Z1 smart glasses, described as the ‘world’s most advanced’, intrinsically safe head-mounted wearable.
The RealWear Navigator Z1 runs on an Android 12 OS, allowing it to run several integrated workplace applications, including seamless access to immersive collaboration apps.
It had received ATEX and IECEx IS certification, demonstrating its ability to be used in hazardous zones. This had made it particularly popular in the oil and gas industry, and it had already gained substantial pre-orders from over a dozen countries, with a large order coming from Saudi Arabia.
