SyncReality, an XR design tool for building interoperable, connected virtual worlds, joined Deutsche Telekom and Qualcomm Technologies’ Hubraum Tech Incubator, it was announced on Tuesday.

The company’s new solution connects digital spaces seamlessly with a collection of digital twin capturing technologies and virtual space rendering with mixed reality tools, offering greater interoperability and creative content for events and shopping experiences.

Cyril Tuschi, Legendary Filmmaker and Founder of SyncReality, opened the company for business in 2020 as a member of the ILB Gründungsbonus Programme and ProFIT Brandenburg.

Following the Incubator’s launch of a Snapdragon Spaces-based augmented reality (AR) app at the end of June, SyncReality joined Hubraum as part of 11 major global startups picked for the group.

The programme will also kick off with group onboarding sessions with DT mentors, with a main focus on the following areas:

  • Social and communication
  • Fitness and wellness
  • Games and entertainment
  • Education and training

The following four months will feature roughly 17 startups from numerous countries such as Croatia, the United States, Israel, Finland, Trinidad, Tobago, Bulgaria, and many other countries. The event will conclude with a demo in October for trialling apps from participating startups.

The news comes just months after Deutsche Telekom’s T-Mobile opened its XR Accelerator programme to developers, startups, and other firms to collaborate on AR smart glasses using the German telecom’s 5G networks and Qualcomm’s world-renowned Snapdragon Spaces platform.

Tokyo-based Square Enix also partnered in March with Qualcomm for Snapdragon Spaces for next-generation gaming experiences, following the former’s success with hit titles such as Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Tomb Raider and many others.
