ISE 2024 is wrapping up, and visitors are heading home. Igloo Vision was among a number of leading emerging technology companies showing face at the event to highlight the future of workplace technology -with the firm successfully showcasing how immersive spaces are a valuable enterprise tool via its Igloo Core Engine solution.

At ISE 2024, visitors to its exhibition hall could visit Igloo Vision’s booth and see its solution that augments work by immersing employees in a space that surrounds them with XR visualisations.

Igloo Core Engine users can interact with the rich XR data points through Christie projectors with added touch screens and floor projections. The firm showcased how employees can interact and benefit from its brand of immersive productivity, in turn wowing some attendees who may not have expected to see an enterprise-ready AR/VR/MR device at the event.

Jake Rowland, the Head of Business and Sales at EMEA, added:

Since releasing ICE one year ago, we’ve been hearing from customers how practical it is and how easy it is to use. Now we want to get the word out that ICE isn’t just for Igloo spaces and open our doors to everyone and anyone who is interested in finding out how our software can benefit them.

The first showcase of the Igloo Core Engine solution was at last year’s ISE event. Following its debut, Igloo Vision began rolling the product out to end users, including Microsoft, Nike, and AtkinsRéalis.

Moreover, according to the firm, end users from various sectors, such as education, AEC, energy, and healthcare, can leverage the product to optimise their workflows.

On the other hand, the firm collaborates with AV industry partners to power immersive spaces, large format displays, power walls, LED screens, and screen clusters. All together, creating a multi-use product.

All engines are set to go for the firm; showcases like those at ISE 2024 help to present optimistic projections on the diverse range of XR workplace solutions on the market – ahead of the Vision Pro’s debut and, therefore, a forecasted increasing number of eyes on the space.

More on Igloo Vision

The firm has a long history of raising funds for its product vision.

Following years of development, the firm successfully sees its product portfolio deployed in several key sectors and to attract further end users, Igloo Vision opened a London demo space last year to entice new partners to join their immersive product revolution – but let’s take a closer look at the firm’s immersive spaces and the use cases which can be suited.

In 2023, Igloo Vision showcased its various immersive spaces. One of them was the Immersive Visualisation Room, which had a 5 x 5-metre space where users display 360 videos, Insta360 live streams, Unity-based architectural models, Matterport-based photogrammetry models, and immersive presentations built on Slides.

Igloo Vision used six Epson EB-PU1007W projectors and Igloo Vision’s Immersive Media Player (IMP III) in this room.

Additionally, the firm incorporated a Lenovo ThinkSmart Teams Room device, Crystal Vox Loqui 1 Speaker, a Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling mic, and a Sony digital camera.

Igloo Vision also showcased the 360 Cylinder, a fully 360-degree room for hosting showreel content tailored for Igloo spaces over the past few years.

This demo revealed how users can incorporate Meta Quest headsets into the immersive space via the company’s Connec2 XR collaborative platform: the 360 Cylinder used six BenQ projectors and an IMPI media player.

Igloo also incorporated its in-house XR Studio with LED Studio panels and HTC VIVE’s next-gen tracking system to democratise XR production for organisations that conduct regular broadcast content and in-house photo sessions.

Igloo Vision’s True Perspective feature supports this use case by allowing filmers to adjust content in real-time based on their head and camera positions.

Blockade Labs also introduced its GenAI technologies into the XR studio immersive space, offering guests on-the-fly customisation for immersive experiences using prompts, pictures, and videos of their creations.

The Immersive Workspace is the more traditional meeting room configuration for Igloo because People can leverage the product operating system to convert rooms into four-walled immersive projections.

This platform uses Microsoft Teams for calls and Microsoft Office apps such as PowerPoint, Miro, Alleo, and Power BI. The immersive space also includes a table, four LG Cinebeam HU8LG 4K projectors, a Neat Bart Teams room setup, and an IMPII media player.

Lastly, the VR CAVE is Igloo Vision’s Cave Automotive Virtual Environment (CAVE), which includes audiences with Digital Projection E-Vision 5100 projectors, providing audiences with 3D projections and OptiTrack motion tracking systems.

At the time, Igloo Vision noted how industry verticals such as architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) can leverage the platform’s digital model depth technologies and experiential content.
