The YouTube app on Quest 3 now supports 8K videos, including immersive 360° & 180°. At 8K, 2D 360° videos have enough pixels to almost match the Quest 3's display angular resolution, and 2D 180° videos will far exceed it.

Two undocumented features were discovered in Quest's v64 update. Meta discounted its Quest 2 accessories by 50%, while YouTube on Quest 3 now supports 8K 360° and 180° 3D videos. It covers up to Wrath of the Lich King's final patch and you can download that now via GitHub.

Oculus bets on Oculus Quest at OC6. Finally the 8K X model, the headset that has a native resolution of 4K per eye (the original 8K had a 1440p resolution upscaled to 4K) and its sibling 8K Plus will start shipping in December this year. The prices are $1000 for the 8K Plus and $1300 for the 8K X , for the headset only.
