Star Wars Vader Immortal is a three-episode experience that’s not only one of Quest’s best immersive narrative experiences, but also an awesome introduction to VR for any Star Wars fan. While you’ll soon be able to pick up the trilogy at a steep discount, it’s a real shame the series isn’t tapping Quest 3’s potential.

This week, spatial data solutions provider Amrax partnered with interior design software company Palette CAD. The partnership sees Palette CAD integrate features from Metaroom – an XR solution by Amrax – to enhance Palette’s 3D design software. Dirk Böckstiegel, the Director of Business Development and Export at Palette CAD AG, said: The interaction between Metaroom and Palette CAD is a prime example of how software can adapt to the user today.

Helldivers 2 (2024) doesn’t have VR support yet, official or otherwise, although this new fan-made trailer shows just how immersive it could be. Created by YouTuber ‘ DemoAkuroVR ‘, the unofficial cinematic trailer reimagines the squad-based shooter action in a modded version of Blade & Sorcery, the viral VR combat sandbox that is all about taking on waves of baddies and, as you’ve probably seen, decapitating them in style using melee and magic.

The Meta Quest v65 system software update is starting to roll out. The Quest v65 update lets you easily view panoramas captured by your iPhone, brings passthrough to all system UI panels, lets any iPhone upload spatial videos, and prevents hand tracking from interfering with mouse and keyboard usage. As always, keep in mind that Quest system software updates "roll out" gradually, so it may take days or even weeks for your headset to get the Quest v65 update.

Agent Simulator promises action-packed secret agent training through a VR FPS, and it's available now on Quest. Created by Turkish developer Studio Gamebit ( Naau: The Lost Eye ), Agent Simulator previously appeared as a demo on SideQuest. Now available on App Lab, this FPS is described as an "action, simulation, and strategy game in which each player shows their targeting skills and agility against enemies in a virtual environment.

TSMC is no stranger to building big chips. Besides the ~800mm2 reticle limit of their normal logic processes, the company already produces even larger chips by fitting multiple dies on to a single silicon interposer, using their chip-on-wafer-on-substrate (CoWoS) technology. But even with current-gen CoWoS allowing for interposers up to 3.3x TSMC's reticle limit, TSMC plans to build bigger still in response to projected demand from the HPC and AI industries.

Skera VR is a new puzzle-adventure game coming to Steam. Developed by a three-person studio named after the game, Skera VR is described as a "single-player puzzle-solving action adventure" game. Imprisoned inside a colossal gateway tower and armed with a sword, you must work both alongside and against the tower's resident AI to escape. Recent gameplay footage isn't available but you can watch the previous trailer below.

C-Smash VRS, the cosmic racket sports game, gets a new 'Time Attack' mode tomorrow on all platforms. Following this month's launch on Quest and Pico, publisher RapidEyeMovers and developer Wolf & Wood confirmed that C-Smash VRS is introducing a new gameplay mode on May 1. Featuring a remix of Starstorm by Ken Ishii, you're tasked with smashing the most blocks within the time limit to earn your place on the monthly leaderboards.
