You can create your own world using the Unity SDK. Comparison of the speakers solutions in the Oculus Quest (left) and HTC Vive Focus Plus (right). The same Unity plugin is able to serve all Oculus devices and this helps a lot in developing cross-platform titles. You have to disable developer mode, connect the device to the PC, download the movies and the re-enable developer mode.

The Unity renderer implementation of foveated rendering, on the other hand is much rougher, and in multiple Unity apps I saw very obvious and harsh artifacts, particularly on text. Given this only happens in Unity Full Space apps, I suspect this can be solved in future software. This is a watershed moment for VR-style headsets.

I’m very interested in this device, that’s why I dedicated various articles to it, like the tutorial on how to get started with Go on Unity , how to stream the headset content to an external screen and my comparison with the Vive Focus. The headset. User interface. The internal interface is almost identical to the one of Gear VR.

HTC has finally revealed the price of the Vive Pro : it will cost $799 just to have the headset (no controller and no base stations, so you must already have a Vive 1 kit) and will be available for pre-orders since April, 5th. But, as Road To VR has stated, maybe HTC should have clarified that in all its marketing material.
