Road To VR reported about Manus VR’s new Quantum Metagloves with very precise hand tracking for enterprise use (cost: $9000). Upload reported that Sony showcased PlayStation to some selected partners , but no one could speak about what he/she has seen. It can train a model 6–7x faster than the previous data center GPU.

All these data together make me a bit skeptical about the capabilities of this company: developing such kind of a high-quality headset requires a lot of expertise, while the company is very small and features no known expert in the field. Sony will give PS4 camera adapters for PS5 for free.

First of all, we have some more info on the micro OLED displays: Sony started selling them in Japan, so we have some more specs: they have 4K resolution, 90Hz framerate, a high luminance, and the capability of reproducing a very wide color range. This seems a great result to me. It’s the end of an era.

Since this is a concept, we have no data about the price and expected release date. It is also the most interesting because it introduces features like eye tracking, hand tracking, and especially a 2280×2280 per-eye resolution display that makes it compelling for professional use.
