Apple already made hardware, so it already had the infrastructure to build it and just added XR people on top of this infrastracture, while Facebook could not). In September, the new Facebook Avatars will come and substitute the current Oculus avatars. Apple AR headset may have been delayed to 2025. But it is impressive anyway.

Oculus Go price cut down to $150. Facebook has permanently cut down the price of the Oculus Go to $150 , the same price that made it sell incredibly well on Amazon during the Cyber Monday. Oculus Link official cable now available worldwide (but Quest is still soldout). Good news for all the Quest fans: the official Oculus Link cable is now available worldwide in 22 countries. Anyway, with future software updates of the Oculus runtime, the official cable will be able to exploit all the maximum speed possible.

Apple ARKit 3.5 It is no mystery that Apple is currently the best mobile augmented reality company, and the latest update to ARKit confirms this. I really can’t wait to see the Apple AR glasses…. Oculus Quest is available again in some countries. In some countries (not US), Oculus Quest and Rift S have got back in stock.

Started covering those areas when they were very tied to games, especially when the original Oculus Rift was launched. I’d say that through at least 2022, the enterprise will account for the majority of augmented and mixed reality headsets like Hololens and Magic Leap. Or it’s going to take some more time?
