Unity support for OpenXR is still in early beta , and so it’s not reliable yet to develop an OpenXR-compliant application in Unity. We Unity developers have still to use the current Unity tools that make us develop once, but then build for every different platform (like the ones I describe in this article ).

I just got back from Lisbon, where I attended AWE Europe. In fact, at launch, it won’t even be possible to create Unity content for it. In Europe, this marketing effort is just starting now, so the penetration is not that high, yet. In the USA, it is almost mainstream; in Europe, it is something for people that have some knowledge of gaming or technology; in South America, is very difficult to get a headset.
