The report talks about Samsung wanting to target the $1000–2000 range, which in my opinion risks being neither expensive nor affordable.

It can come also in handy if the Apple Watch has to become an input system for Apple XR headsets… PS A final piece of news is that Epic is evaluating native support for Vision Pro for its Unreal Engine! Others have stopped using Unity Ads, Unity’s main source of revenue.

More info Samsung is still on track to deliver its headset Samsung’s president of mobile experience, TM Roh, has spoken with CNET about the XR strategy of the company. Then he talked about the ecosystem and the fact that Samsung wants to create an open ecosystem around XR where many partners can operate in.

Qualcomm has officially said that this is the chipset that the upcoming Samsung headset is going to employ. But there is not only Samsung: XR2 Gen 2 is going to be integrated also by Immersed’s Visor, a new HTC Vive headset, a YVR headset in China, and a headset that is still undisclosed. Let’s see: Google is still working with Qualcomm and Samsung on a mixed-reality headset. We already saw this problem happening when HTC departed from the Steam platform to build its Viveport store because hardware sales were not enough to have an ambitious business. I’m curious to see how this will turn out to be.
