A few weeks after I officially entered VR, the technology started being overhyped after Facebook’s acquisition of Oculus. The XR field is now growing, and the long-term outlook is also great, with the upcoming release of the Apple mixed reality headset which is for sure going to re-ignite the hype for immersive realities again.

All the 3 major VR runtimes (Oculus, SteamVR, Microsoft) are now compatible with OpenXR , and this means that on the runtime layer on PC, now OpenXR has been fully integrated.
