Sony invests $250M in Epic Games. Sony has announced that it has made a big investment of $250M in Epic Games through one of its subsidiaries. The investment gives Sony a minority stake in Epic that now is evaluated at more than $17B. And Sony for sure wants to have a stake in the metaverse. Top news of the week.

Microsoft announces Mesh, an XR collaboration platform. Alex Kipman promised us a Microsoft Ignite conference with an amazing level of immersion , and he kept his word. Tips & Tricks for the Quest 2! New tips and tricks for Quest 2 are being published for Quest 2: Quest 2 doesn’t work well outdoor, even in conditions when the tracking of the Quest 1 worked. Sony will give PS4 camera adapters for PS5 for free. Sony has answered this question in the weekend. News worth a mention.

I hope that a future rumor clarifies a bit more what is Facebook’s strategy. (Thanks Alessio Palumbo for the tip!). Various months ago, Jason Rubin told the press that he was investigating an exchange of exclusive titles with Sony : his purpose was the one of bringing some of the best PSVR titles, like Resident Evil 7, to the Oculus Store.

According to GamesIndustry.biz, Sony is closing its Manchester-based game studio, that it opened in 2015 to produce ‘AAA’ PSVR exclusives. Pretty amazing, isn’t it?
